How it works
Like Ghana's own Parliament, the House is led by a Speaker, does its work in plenary and in committees, and is organised into a Majority and a Minority caucus.

Presides over every sitting, keeps order and protects the rules of the House.

All Members of Parliament meet to debate motions and vote on behalf of their constituencies.

Smaller groups of MPs study issues in depth, lead outreach and report back to the House.

The Majority and Minority caucuses organise members, with leaders and whips in each.
From the Speaker
Here, young Ghanaians do more than study parliament. They take the oath, represent a constituency for a term and do the work: debating motions, serving on committees and leading outreach in their communities.
Whether you want to serve, follow our sittings or partner with us, you are welcome.

Why join
Members are not an audience. Every member represents a constituency, and the best go on to chair committees, lead their caucus or preside over the House as Speaker.
